Happy 4th of July weekend everyone! WOO HOO! Happy Birthday, America… as we all embark on celebrating our great country and its independence, let’s start the grills, and get out the RED, WHITE, and BLUE!!! What an amazing time to get together as community and honor this country and all those who have protected it over the years. The ring of freedom can be heard from every state from parades, cookouts, the essence of the American spirit, as one big family! Celebrate! Have fun… and from us to you, have a great and safe Fourth of July!!!

It was like an ominous colorful storm lingering behind the white wood farm house. Silently it peeked past the old oak trees whose leaves were laden with humidity, and the winding red dirt road and “no trespassing” signs. Nestled back beyond the back forty, there it stood. A staunch red barn, worn by the sun’s blessing and reflecting a rusted silver tin roof that invited all the critters of the night. To him, though, it was redemption, life, breath, and an escape from what the preacher calls, “daily perils of life.” The sawmill. Over the years he had saved his money to buy the equipment to inlay, and create from these simple cuts of wood. He didn’t have a favorite, he found them all mesmerizing. Sometimes he would just sit in the loft of the barn, in the October cold, and watch the moon’s own shadows of art, an inspiration of silent music that played within his heart to be heard through the grains of wood. He would spend hours and hours cutting and sanding, blowing the sawdust to the side. Tilting his head side to side, he would stand back and acknowledge his creation. He will never forget the night of his favorite piece. The dew set a precedence upon the saw, but he slowly dried it off and proceeded. His boots sank into the Georgia red clay, “art,” he said with a sly grin to the side… He held the small cross with its intricate inscriptions in his palm, for he had a lot of “time” in the veins of his hands. He will pass this on. A memory of complete dedication and honor to his son who had died fighting for America. Fourth of July. Freedom. Sacrifice. Tears of remembrance from a dad in an old saw mill down a red dirt road.

Hey everyone! We hope that y’all are having a beautiful week, it’s Fridayyy, Yayy!!! So, today we want to talk about dreams… most all of us have “a dream”.., A dream that we want to achieve, and that propels us onto a directive path of knowing where our passion and gifts are… In our book, Grandpa states, “New beginnings all start from caring ideas.” These “new beginnings” give strength and the “caring ideas” are springboards that connect us with our community! This makes all the difference in the world. America embraces the entrepreneurial strength of the human spirit that connects us all. We appreciate and honor all the great military men and women who have bravely fought for our “New Beginnings”… our dreams… our passions, the essence of who we are as a nation!!! Hold onto your dreams, and together let’s make a difference! Smile, encourage shine, and we will chat again soon!

Happy Father’s Day!!

We want to wish everyone a very blessed Father’s Day! Have a beautiful weekend. My father is, and always will be, my hero!! He taught all of us five kids to love God, and to love others. He taught us that life is all about giving, doing your best, never giving up, and having character in every situation. He was a taller than life example of all this to his family. We love and miss you so much, Dad, and we know there is a great football team up in heaven that you are coaching right now! Happy Father’s Day everyone! Love, encourage and shine!
